Removing the knobs of a Minicommand

This guide shows you how to remove the knobs of the MiniCommand.

First, get a piece of cloth, to protect the MiniCommand from scratches.

Get a flat-headed screwdriver, and wrap it in the cloth.

Get your MiniCommand out, and position it in front of you.

Push the screwdriver wrapped in cloth underneath one of the knobs.

Gently start to push upwards.

Push some more...

Et voila!

You can see inside the knob that there is a slight protrusion. This needs to meet the flat end of the encoder shaft when you put the encoder back on.

Here you can see the encoder shaft.
